Advisory Board

Simon Davies, convener and Director of Privacy International, is widely-recognised as the world's leading privacy advocate. Over his twenty-year career in privacy he has led campaigns and research initiatives around the world. He has done over 10,000 interviews in this period and has been quoted in nearly all leading media outlets. He is a Visiting Senior Fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

László Majtényi, professor of law, is head of the National Radio and Television Commission in Hungary. After the political transformation he was Chief Counsellor at the newly established Constitutional Court, then the first Parliamentary Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information. He was founding president of the Eötvös Károly Policy Institute (EKINT). He is specialized in constitutional law, the ombudsman institutions, and information rights and freedoms. He has been teaching at several universities in Hungary and has served on editorial boards of journals in law and social sciences.

Marc Rotenberg is Executive Director of the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) in Washington, DC. He teaches information privacy law at Georgetown University Law Center and has testified before Congress on many issues, including access to information, encryption policy, consumer protection, computer security, and communications privacy. He has served on several national and international advisory panels, including the expert panels on Cryptography Policy and Computer Security for the OECD, the Legal Experts on Cyberspace Law for UNESCO, and the Countering Spam program of the ITU. He chairs the ABA Committee on Privacy and Information Protection.
